Small craft operators and sea bathers, particularly on the northern and eastern coasts, are advised to exercise caution due to swells generated by Hurricane Teddy.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
The atmosphere over the Eastern Caribbean region remains sufficiently moist and unstable to produce some scattered showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms over parts of the region during the next 24 hours.
…Hurricane Teddy…
Teddy becomes a major (category 4) hurricane. At 5:00 pm today, the center of Hurricane Teddy was located near latitude 20.1 degrees north, longitude 54.1 degrees west or about 575 miles or 925 kilometers northeast of the Lesser Antilles. Teddy is moving toward the northwest near 13 mph or 20 km/h and this motion is expected to continue for the next few days. Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 140 mph or 220 km/h with higher gusts.
Hurricane Teddy does not pose a direct threat to our region, however swells generated by this system will continue to affect the northern portion of the Lesser Antilles into the weekend.
…Post-Tropical Cyclone Vicky…
Vicky is now a remnant low. At 5:00 pm today, the center of Post-Tropical Cyclone Vicky was located near latitude 21.1 degrees north, longitude 39.1 degrees west. The post-tropical cyclone is moving toward the west-southwest near 12 mph (19 km/h), and this general motion is expected through Friday. Additional weakening is expected, and the remnant low is forecast to dissipate Friday night or early Saturday.
Vicky is not expected pose a threat to the Eastern Caribbean region.
A tropical wave located near longitude 27 degrees west is moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h. An area of low pressure associated with this wave is in an environment conducive for development and a tropical depression is likely to form over the central tropical Atlantic during the next few days. The low is forecast to move west-northwestward at 10 to 15 kt during the next several days.
