Cloudy to overcast with moderate to heavy showers, gusty winds and thunderstorms over the Leeward Islands and areas further north. Elsewhere, partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered showers, which may be heavy in some locations, and possibly isolated thunderstorms.
TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
Rainbands, strong winds, and sea swells associated with Tropical Storm Jerry will continue affect the Leeward Islands during the forecast period. Moist and unstable conditions over the southern half of the region will cause some cloudiness, showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms over the remainder of the region during the forecast period.
All Tropical Storm Warnings for Tropical Storm Jerry have been discontinued.
At 11:00 am today, the center of Tropical Storm Jerry was located near latitude 20.2 North, longitude 63.4 West or about 140 miles (225 km) north of the northern Leeward Islands. Jerry is moving toward the northwest near 16 mph (26 km/h). A turn toward the north is expected by this evening, with that motion continuing
through Sunday. On the forecast track, the center of Jerry will continue passing to the north of the northern Leeward Islands this afternoon, then move away from the islands later today.
Maximum sustained winds remain near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts. Little change in strength is expected during the next few days.
A tropical wave located over the eastern tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h.
