At 5:00 pm today, the centre of Tropical Depression Victor was located near latitude 13.7 degrees north, longitude 38.0 degrees west. Victor is moving toward the northwest near 14 mph or 22 km/h. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph or 55 km/h, with higher gusts. Gradual weakening is forecast during the next couple of days and Victor is expected to dissipate by Tuesday.

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected over the tropical Atlantic during the next five days.

A plume of Saharan dust will continue to cause a significant reduction in visibility and air quality around our region over the next few days.

At 11:00 am today, the centre of Tropical Storm Victor was located near latitude 13.1 degrees north, longitude 37.2 degrees west. Victor is moving toward the northwest near 12 mph or 19 km/h. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph or 65 km/h, with higher gusts. Additional weakening is forecast during the next few days. Victor is expected to remain over the open Atlantic and poses no threat to the Lesser Antilles.
