FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Partly cloudy skies occasionally becoming cloudy with scattered showers, isolated thunderstorms mainly over the southern portion of the region. Elsewhere it will be fair to occasionally cloudy with some scattered showers.   

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Lingering moisture and instability in the wake of a tropical wave west of the Lesser Antilles will continue to cause cloudiness, showers and thunderstorms over the southern portion of the Eastern Caribbean Islands.

A low pressure centre associated with a tropical wave is located about 1000 miles east of the Lesser Antilles continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms.  However, environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for the formation of a tropical depression during the next day or two while the system moves slowly northwestward to west-northwestward.

A third tropical wave located over the eastern tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 23 mph or 37 km/h.
