A tropical wave with an associated area of low pressure is located less than 650 miles or 1050 kilometres east southeast of the Leeward islands. A tropical depression is likely to form later tonight or tomorrow, as the system continues to move toward the west-northwest near 15 mph or 24 km/h. Interests in the Leeward and northern Windward Islands should monitor the progress of this system.
Another tropical wave located over the eastern tropical Atlantic, has a medium or 40 percent chance of tropical cyclone formation during the next five days, as it moves westward near 10 mph or 17 km/h.
