Moisture and instability in the wake of a tropical wave, will continue to cause occasional cloudiness with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms, mainly over the southern half of the Lesser Antilles, during the next 24 hours.

…TROPICAL STORM JOYCE FORMS OVER THE CENTRAL TROPICAL ATLANTIC OCEAN…

At 11:00 am today, the center of Tropical Storm Joyce was located near latitude 18.1 north, longitude 42.9 west. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph or 65 km/h with higher gusts. Joyce is moving toward the northwest near 13 mph or 20 km/h and this general motion is expected to continue through Sunday. Joyce is expected to remain over the open waters of the Atlantic and poses no threat to our region at this time.  

A tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic, is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h.
