Fair to partly cloudy with a few showers over the Leeward Islands. Over the Windward Islands and areas further south, partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with some scattered showers which may be heavy in some locations, and isolated thunderstorms.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

A light wind regime will persist across the Lesser Antilles, for the next few days. Moisture and instability over the southern half of the region, will cause scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms over that area, during the next 24 hours.

At 11:00 am today, the center of Hurricane Leslie was located near latitude 13.3 north, longitude 37.9 west. Leslie is moving toward the northwest near 9 mph or 15 km/h. Maximum sustained winds are near 90 mph or 150 km/h, with higher gusts. A gradual weakening trend is forecast to begin on Monday. Leslie does not pose a threat to our region at this time.

A tropical wave located over the eastern tropical Atlantic, is moving westward near 9 mph or 15 km/h.
