FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Fair to occasionally cloudy, hazy and breezy, with a few scattered showers over the Leeward to central Windward Islands. Further south, cloudy to overcast at times, with scattered showers, which may be locally heavy, and isolated thunderstorms.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

The Atlantic High-Pressure System will generate moderate to brisk easterly winds and locally rough seas across the Eastern Caribbean region, during the next few days.

A plume of Saharan dust haze will continue to cause a significant reduction in visibility and air quality over the region, during the next few days.

Moisture and instability trailing a tropical wave, will continue to cause cloudiness, showers and isolated thunderstorms over the southern portion of the Lesser Antilles today. Low-level clouds drifting along the wind flow, will cause a few showers over the remainder of the region, during the next 24 hours.

A tropical wave located over the western Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h. This wave is expected to affect the region from late Wednesday into Thursday.

A third tropical wave located over the far eastern tropical Atlantic is slowly moving westward. Tropical cyclone formation is not expected over the Tropical Atlantic, during the next seven (7) days.
