Moist unstable conditions in the atmosphere over the northern and extreme southern portions of our region, will cause some cloudy periods with showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms over those areas during the next 24 hours.

An area of disturbed weather located a few hundred miles north of the northern Leeward Islands has the potential for some slow development over the next few days and a tropical depression could from later this week. However, the system is forecast to move northwestward over the open ocean and is not expected to pose a threat to our region.

Two tropical waves located over the Central and far Eastern Tropical Atlantic are both moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h.

However, environmental conditions are forecast to be conducive for additional development during the next few days and a tropical depression could form by the middle of next week. This system is forecast to turn northwestward and then northward over the western Atlantic, passing north of the Leeward Islands on Monday and Tuesday.

Two other tropical wave one located over the Central Tropical Atlantic and another over the far Eastern Tropical Atlantic are both moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
The Inter Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will cause showers and isolated thunderstorms over the extreme southern portion of the Lesser Antilles during the forecast period.

Showers and thunderstorms have increased with the tropical wave located about 500 miles east of the northern Leeward Islands. Environment condition are forecast to become more conducive for development in a day or two, and a tropical depression could form early next week. This system is forecast to turn northwestward and then northward over the western Atlantic, north of the Leeward islands through the middle of next week.

A second tropical wave located over the Eastern Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 21 mph or 33km/h.

At 5:00 pm today, the centre of Tropical Depression Ten was located near latitude 19.2 North, Longitude 23.5 West. The depression is moving toward the northwest and is expected to become a remnant low or dissipate tonight or on Sunday. Tropical depression Ten does not pose a threat to the Lesser Antilles.
