TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
Moisture and instability in the lower atmosphere around the Eastern Caribbean region will cause some showery periods and isolated thunderstorms over the islands during the next 24 hours. This system is not expected to pose a direct threat to our region.
Showers and thunderstorms associated with a broad area of low pressure centered about 200 miles east-northeast of the northern Leeward Islands continue to show signs of organization. Additional development is expected and a tropical or subtropical depression is likely to form while the system moves northwestward and then northward over the open Atlantic during the next day or two. Conditions are expected to become less conducive by midweek and further development is unlikely after that time.
A tropical wave located over the central tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 09 mph or 15 km/h.
