Moisture and instability in the lower atmosphere around the Eastern Caribbean region will cause some showery periods over the islands during the next 24 hours.
A broad area of low pressure located about 250 miles or 402 kilometers east northeast of the northern Leeward Islands is drifting northwestward to northward over the open Atlantic. Some gradual development of this system is expected during the next few days and it may become a tropical or subtropical depression. Conditions are expected to be less conducive for its development by midweek.This system is not expected to pose a direct threat to our region.
