TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Moist and unstable conditions in the atmosphere over the Eastern Caribbean will cause occasional cloudiness, showers and isolated thunderstorms over the Lesser Antilles today.

A tropical wave located about 300 hundred miles or 480 kilometres east of the Lesser Antilles is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h. This wave is expected to affect our region from late tonight into tomorrow.

Two other tropical waves located over the central and eastern tropical Atlantic are also moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h.

An area of low pressure located over the central tropical Atlantic has a low chance of tropical cyclone development as it drifts slowly westward during the next five days.

A fourth tropical wave is expected to emerge off the coast of Africa during the next 24 hours. This system has a medium chance of tropical cyclone development during the next five days.
