Generally cloudy and hazy with some scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms over the extreme southern portion of the Lesser Antilles. Elsewhere, generally fair and hazy.
TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
Saharan dust will continue to cause a reduction in visibility and air quality across the Eastern Caribbean region, over the next couple of days.
Moisture and instability associated with the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), will cause cloudy conditions with showers and isolated thunderstorms over the extreme southern portion of the region during the next 24 hours.
A weak tropical wave located several hundred miles east of the Lesser Antilles, is moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h.
At 5:00 pm today, the centre of Tropical Depression Ten was located near latitude 15.6 degrees north, longitude 50.0 degrees west or about 790 miles east of the Leeward Islands. The depression is moving toward the north near 8 mph or 13 km/h, and this general motion is forecast to continue during the next several days. On the forecast track, the system is expected to remain over the open Atlantic well to the east of the Lesser Antilles.
Two other tropical waves located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic and just off the west African coast are moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h and 20 mph or 31 km/h respectively.
