TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Patches of low-level clouds drifting along a moderate easterly to east-northeasterly wind flow, will cause some showery periods over the region, during the next 24 hours.

A tropical wave located over the central Tropical Atlantic, is moving westward near 9 mph or 15 km/h.  This wave is expected to begin affecting the region late Friday into Saturday.

Another tropical wave located over the Eastern Tropical Atlantic continues to produce disorganized shower and thunderstorm activity.  Environmental conditions are forecast to be conducive, and development of this system is anticipated. A tropical depression or tropical storm is likely to form this weekend several hundred miles east of the Windward Islands while the system moves westward at 15 to 20 mph or 24 to 31 km/h.
