FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Over the Leeward and Windward Islands, fair, hazy and breezy becoming cloudy at times with a few showers. Further south, generally cloudy and breezy, with scattered light to moderate showers and isolated thunderstorms.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

The Atlantic High-Pressure System will maintain moderate to brisk easterly winds and locally rough seas across the Eastern Caribbean region, during the next few days.

Moisture and instability trailing a tropical wave, will continue to cause cloudiness with showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms over the extreme southern portion of the Lesser Antilles today. Another tropical wave located over the western Tropical Atlantic, is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h and is expected to also impact the same portion of the Lesser Antilles tonight into Tuesday.

A plume of Saharan dust haze is expected to affect visibility and air quality across the region, during the forecast period.
