TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Patches of low-level clouds moving with the wind flow will cause some scattered showers over the region, during the forecast period.

An increase in Saharan dust is expected over the region ahead of an approaching tropical wave. This will result in a reduction in air quality and visibility across the Eastern Caribbean.

A tropical wave interacting with a broad area of low pressure, is located about 900 miles southeast of the Lesser Antilles. Some development is possible but remains low over the next day or so as it moves west-northwest at 10-15 mph. Conditions will likely become unfavorable by mid-week. This system is expected to produce increased periods of cloudiness and possible thunderstorms of the central and southern Eastern Caribbean from late Tuesday into Wednesday.

Another tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h.
