A surface to low level trough will produce cloudiness, showers and isolated thunderstorms over the Lesser Antilles, during the forecast period.
At 500 pm today, the center of Tropical Storm Gabrielle was located near latitude 25.6 North, longitude 59.0 West. Gabrielle is moving toward the northwest near 10 mph (17 km/h). Maximum sustained winds are near 65 mph or 100 km/h with higher gusts. Strengthening is forecast during the next couple of days, and Gabrielle is expected to become a hurricane by Sunday. On the forecast track, Gabrielle will continue to move away from our region and pass east of Bermuda on Sunday night and Monday.
