Partly cloudy skies, occasionally becoming cloudy with scattered light to moderate showers.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Moist and unstable conditions will result in a few showers over the Lesser Antilles, this morning.

At 5:00 am today, the center of Tropical Storm Gabrielle was located near latitude 27.2 North, longitude 60.0 West. Gabrielle is moving toward the north-northwest near 9 mph or 15 km/h. Maximum sustained winds are near 65 mph or 100 km/h with higher gusts. Strengthening is forecast during the next couple of days, and Gabrielle is expected to become a hurricane later today. On the forecast track, Gabrielle will continue to move away from our region and pass east of Bermuda on Monday.

A tropical wave located over the central Tropical Atlantic, is moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h. This wave is expected to affect the Lesser Antilles from Monday evening.

Another tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic, is moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h.  Some slow development of this system is possible within the next 7 days.
