At 5:00 pm today, the centre of Tropical storm Humberto was located near Latitude 20.1 degrees north…longitude 54.9 degrees west or about 550 miles or 885 kilometres east northeast of the northern Leeward Islands. Humberto is moving toward the west northwest near 15 mph or 24 km/h. A west northwest to northwestward motion is expected over the next several days.
Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph or 65 km/h with higher gusts. This system is not expected to pose direct threat to St Lucia.
A second tropical wave located over the central Tropical Atlantic, is moving westward near 20 mph or 31 km/h.
