TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Moist and unstable conditions, coupled with light southerly winds and intense daytime heating will cause some showers and isolated thunderstorms, over parts of the region during the forecast period.

A broad area of low pressure located several hundred miles east of the Lesser Antilles, is associated with a low-latitude tropical wave. Shower and thunderstorm activity are becoming better organized and environmental conditions appear

favorable for continued development of this system. A tropical depression or storm is likely to form within the next day or so whilst it moves quickly west- northwestward across the central tropical Atlantic. This system is expected to be near or north of the northern Leeward Islands on Thursday and Friday, and interests in the Lesser Antilles should continue to monitor its progress.
