Moisture and instability associated with a tropical wave, will cause cloudiness, showers and possibly thunderstorms over parts of the region, during the forecast period.
At 5:00 pm today, Tropical storm Gordon was located near latitude 19.5 north, longitude 39.5 west. Gordon is moving toward the west-northwest near 10 mph or 17 km/h. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph or 65 km/h, with higher gusts. Slight strengthening is expected today before a weakening trend begins on Saturday. This system poses no threat to our region at this time.
