TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Moisture and instability in the wake of a tropical wave, will cause occasional cloudiness, showers and isolated thunderstorms over portions of the region, during the forecast period.

At 11:00 am today, Tropical Storm Gordon was located near latitude 20.1 north, longitude 41.7 west. Gordon is moving towards the west near 9 mph or 15 km/h. Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph or 75 km/h, with higher gusts. Gordon is forecast to continue weakening and become a depression on Sunday, however, gradual restrengthening is possible by the middle of next week. This system poses no threat to our region at this time.

A second tropical wave located over the far eastern Tropical Atlantic, is moving westward near 9 mph or 15 km/h.
