Moist and unstable conditions over the region will continue to cause scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms over the islands, during the forecast period.
A tropical wave located a few hundred miles east of the Lesser Antilles, will produce similar weather conditions over the region later today and into tomorrow.
At 11:00 am today, the center of Tropical Storm Leslie was located near latitude 19.4 north, longitude 45.6 west. Leslie is moving toward the northwest near 13 mph or 20 km/h. Maximum sustained winds remain near 70 mph or 110 km/h, with higher gusts. During the next 48 hours, little change in strength is forecast. Leslie does not pose a threat to our region at this time.
A second tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic, is moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h.
