A tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h.

 The low-pressure system located north of the region had developed into the fifteenth named storm of the season. At 500 PM EDT (2100 UTC), the center of Hurricane Oscar was located near latitude 21.4 North, longitude 71.1 West. Oscar is moving toward the west near 10 mph (17 km/h). Oscar is a very small hurricane, with hurricane-force winds only extending outward up to 5 miles (10 km) from the center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 45 miles (75 km). This system does not pose a threat to the Eastern Caribbean region.
