| A weak tropical wave will cause some light to moderate over the Lesser Antilles during the forecast period. This wave is moving westward near 21 mph or 33 km/h. A second tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic is also moving westward near 21 mph or 33 km/h. A third tropical wave is expected to move off the west coast of Africa today, and an area of low pressure could form in association with this wave early this week. Environmental conditions are forecast to be marginally conducive for development and a tropical depression could form by the middle or latter portion of this week, while the system moves generally westward near 17 to 22 mph across the eastern and central Tropical Atlantic. |
