A plume of Saharan dust haze will impact visibility and air quality across the Lesser Antilles, during the next 24 hours. Low-level clouds moving with the wind, will cause a few brief showers over the region, during the forecast period.
A tropical wave located over the central tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h. Gradual development of this wave is expected during the next few days, and a tropical depression could form by this weekend while it moves near or to the north of the northern Leeward Islands. This system is expected to begin affecting the region from late Thursday.
Another tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic, is also moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h. Development of this wave is possible over the next couple of days.
