A weak tropical wave is over Lesser Antilles. This system is not expected to cause significant rainfall during its passage over the islands.

Two other tropical waves located over the central and eastern Tropical Atlantic are moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h. At 11:00 am today, Tropical Depression Ten remains over the open waters of the Atlantic located near latitude 18.8 degrees north, longitude 50.2 degrees west or about 770 miles or 1240 kilometres east of the Leeward Islands. The depression continues to move northward near 12 mph or 19 km/h. This system is expected to remain over the open Atlantic and not pose a threat to the Eastern Caribbean region.

At 5:00 am today, the center of newly formed Tropical Depression Ten (TD#10) was located near latitude 14.0 degrees north, longitude 49.9 degrees west or about 744 miles or 1197 kilometres east of Saint Lucia. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.  The depression is moving toward the north-northwest near 7 mph or 11 km/h and this motion is forecast to continue this morning and then move northward by this afternoon.  On the forecast track, the system is expected to remain over the open Atlantic well to the east of the Lesser Antilles.  Some slight strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and the depression is expected to become a tropical storm later today.
