Weather: Generally cloudy with scattered showers, some of which maybe heavy In some locations and a chance of thunderstorms tonight. Weather  Conditions are expected to improve from tomorrow morning.

Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides are advised to remain vigilant and exercise extreme caution.

Seas: Moderate to locally rough with waves 5 to 8 feet or 1.5 to 2.4 metres.

Small craft operators and sea bathers are advised to continue to exercise extreme caution due to rough seas, swells and gusty winds generated by Tropical Storm Dorian.

FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Overcast to generally cloudy with moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms over the Leeward and Northern Windward Islands. Elsewhere, partly cloudy to cloudy Skies with a few scattered showers.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Tropical Storm Dorian will continue to generate cloudiness, showers, thunderstorms and rough seas around most of the Eastern Caribbean Islands during the next 24 hours.

At 5:00 pm today, the center of Tropical Storm Dorian was located near latitude 15.3 north, longitude 62.5 west, about 60 miles or 95 kilometers west-northwest of St. Lucia. Dorian is moving toward the west-northwest near 13 mph or 20 km/h, and this motion is expected to continue through tonight, followed by a turn toward the northwest on Wednesday.

On the forecast track, the center of Dorian will move across the northeastern Caribbean Sea tonight.

Maximum sustained winds remain near 50 mph or 85 km/h, with higher gusts. Slow strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and Dorian is forecast to be near hurricane strength when approaches Puerto Rico on Wednesday.

Residents and interests in Saint Lucia and the Lesser Antilles are asked to continue to closely monitor the progress of this system and remain vigilant.

A tropical wave located over the central Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h.
