FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES
Partly cloudy to cloudy at times with some scattered showers and a chance of
isolated thunderstorms mainly over the Leeward Islands. Over the rest of the
region it will be generally fair, occasionally becoming cloudy with a few scattered showers.
TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
Moisture and instability in the wake of a tropical wave, along with favourable
upper level conditions, will continue to cause some showery periods and possibly
isolated thunderstorms mainly over the Leeward Islands during the next 24 hours.
Another tropical wave located a few hundred miles east of the Lesser Antilles
is moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h. This wave is expected to cause an
increase in cloudiness and showers mainly over the southern part of our region
from late Tuesday into Wednesday.
A third tropical wave located over the far eastern tropical Atlantic is moving
westward near 14 mph or 23 km/h.
Tropical cyclone formation is not expected over the tropical Atlantic during
the next five days.
