Partly cloudy skies, becoming cloudy at times with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly over the southern Windward Islands. Further north, occasionally cloudy skies with a few scattered showers.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Moisture and instability in the lower atmosphere over the southern portion of the region, will continue to cause occasional cloudy periods, showers and isolated thunderstorms over the area today. Over the Leeward Islands, a surface trough is expected to bring an increase in cloudiness and shower activity over the islands during the next 24 hours.

A tropical wave located over the Central Tropical Atlantic is slowly moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h. This wave is expected to affect our region from late Tuesday into Wednesday.

Another tropical wave located over the Eastern Tropical Atlantic is also moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h. Some slow development of this system is possible and there is a low chance of tropical cyclone formation during the next 5 days.

A third tropical wave located over the far Eastern Tropical Atlantic is slowly moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h.
