TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Moisture and instability trailing a tropical wave will continue to cause some showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms over the Lesser Antilles this afternoon into tonight.

A second tropical wave located a few hundred miles east of the region is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h. This wave is expected to affect the Lesser Antilles from tomorrow afternoon into Saturday.

A third tropical wave located over the central tropical Atlantic is also moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h.

An area of low pressure located over the central tropical Atlantic has a medium chance of tropical cyclone development as it drifts slowly westward during the next five days.

Two other tropical waves located near the West African coast are also drifting slowly westward. These systems are accompanied by areas of low pressure and are also being monitored for signs of tropical cyclone development.
