TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Light winds and moisture over the Eastern Caribbean region will cause a few scattered showers and a chance of isolated thunderstorms over the Lesser Antilles during the next 24 hours.

An area of disturbed weather, located over the Eastern tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h. A tropical depression is expected to form within the next two days. There is also a high chance of this system developing into a tropical storm within the next five days.

Another area of disturbed weather associated with a tropical wave is located over the far Eastern Atlantic.  Environmental conditions appear conducive for development during the next few days, and a tropical depression could form next week while the system moves slowly westward.

The Saint Lucia Meteorological Services will continue to closely monitor and provide updates on the progress of these systems.
