…Tropical Depression forecast to become a Tropical Storm tonight…

At 11:00 am today, the center of Tropical Depression Twenty was located near latitude

12.3 degrees north, longitude 36.4 degrees west or about 1680 miles or 2705 kilometers east of the Lesser Antilles. The depression is moving toward the west-northwest near 10 mph or 17 km/h and this general motion is expected to continue for the next few days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph or 55 km/h, with higher gusts. The system is forecast to become a tropical storm later today or tonight and could strengthen to a hurricane on Tuesday.
