Low level moisture and instability over our region, is expected to produce some scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms over some of the islands, during the next 24 hours.

...Tropical Storm Wilfred…

At 5:00 am today, the centre of Tropical Storm Wilfred was located near latitude 15.0 degrees north, longitude 42.0 degrees west or about 1285 miles or 2070 kilometres east of the Lesser Antilles. Wilfred is moving toward the west-northwest near 16 mph or 26 km/h. A turn toward the west with a slight decrease in forward speed is expected by tonight.

Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph or 65 km/h, with higher gusts. Weakening is anticipated, and Wilfred is expected to dissipate as soon as later today.

Tropical Storm Wilfred is not expected to pose a threat to our region.

A tropical wave is located over the far Eastern Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h.
