WEATHER SUMMARY
A mid to upper level trough system, together with moisture in the lower atmosphere over our region, will continue to cause occasional cloudy periods with some scattered showers over the Lesser Antilles during the next 24 hours.
An approaching low level trough is expected to cause an increase in cloudiness, moderate to heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly over the central and southern portions of the Eastern Caribbean region from mid Saturday into Sunday.
The La Soufriere volcano in Saint Vincent remains active and additional eruptions and ash plumes are possible at any time. Interests in Saint Lucia and the southeastern Caribbean region are advised to continue monitoring official sources for updates.
