A trough system is expected to cause some cloudy periods with showers over the Leeward Islands during the next 24 hours.

The Atlantic High Pressure System will continue to generate moderate to brisk easterly winds across the Eastern Caribbean region during the next few days.

Low level cloud patches drifting along this wind flow will cause a few brief showers over the remainder of our region during the forecast period. The alert level at La Soufriere volcano in Saint Vincent has been downgraded to Orange as a result of reduced activity over the past weeks. However, interests in Saint Lucia and the south-eastern Caribbean region are advised to continue monitoring official sources for updates.
