FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Generally cloudy to overcast with some scattered light to moderate showers and isolated thunderstorms over the central Windward Islands and areas further south. Elsewhere, partly cloudy becoming cloudy at times with a few scattered showers.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

A tropical wave will continue to cause cloudiness, showers and isolated thunderstorms over the southern half of our region during the next 24 hours. Patches of low level clouds drifting along the easterly wind flow, will cause some cloudy periods with a few scattered showers over the northern portion of the Lesser Antilles during the forecast period.

Another tropical wave located over the central Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h.

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected over the Tropical Atlantic during the next five days.

The alert level at the La Soufriere volcano in Saint Vincent remains at Orange. Interests in Saint Lucia and the South-Eastern Caribbean region are advised to continue monitoring official sources for updates.
