TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

The Atlantic High Pressure system will generate moderate easterly winds across the eastern Caribbean region during the next 24 hours. Low level cloud patches drifting along this wind flow, will cause some scattered showers over our region during the forecast period.

A tropical wave located over the western Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 20 mph or 31 km/h. This wave is expected to begin affecting the region from late tomorrow into Monday.

Two other tropical waves located over the central and far eastern Tropical Atlantic are also moving westward near 20 mph or 31 km/h.

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected over the tropical Atlantic during the next five days.

The alert level at the La Soufriere volcano in Saint Vincent remains at Orange. Interests in Saint Lucia and the South-Eastern Caribbean region are advised to continue monitoring official sources for updates.
