FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Fair and hazy, occasionally becoming cloudy with a few brief scattered showers. An increase in cloudiness and shower activity is expected later tonight.                                                                                                          

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

The Atlantic High Pressure System will continue to generate moderate to brisk easterly winds across the Eastern Caribbean region, during the next few days.

Patches of low level clouds ahead of a tropical wave will cause a few showers.

A plume of Saharan dust haze will continue to cause a reduction in visibility

and air quality over our region, during the next 24 hours.

An approaching tropical wave is expected to start affecting the Lesser Antilles

from late tonight and will continue into Tomorrow.

Another tropical wave, located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h. Development of this feature is no longer anticipated.

The alert level at the La Soufriere volcano in Saint Vincent remains at Orange.
