FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Partly cloudy skies, occasionally becoming cloudy with scattered showers and a chance of isolated thunderstorms, mainly over the southern Windward Islands and areas further south. 

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

A tropical wave located a few hundred miles east of the southern Windward Islands will produce cloudiness, showers and isolated thunderstorms over the southern half of our region from late tonight into tomorrow.

Two other tropical waves located over the central and far eastern Tropical Atlantic are moving westward near 20 and 15 mph or 31 and 24 km/h, respectively.

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected over the tropical Atlantic during the next 5 days.

The alert level at the La Soufriere volcano in Saint Vincent remains at Orange.  Interests in Saint Lucia and the south-eastern Caribbean region are advised to continue monitoring official sources for updates.
