FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms over the extreme southern Lesser Antilles. Elsewhere, fair to partly cloudy, hazy and windy with a few showers.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

The Atlantic High-Pressure system will generate moderate to brisk easterly winds and rough seas around the Eastern Caribbean during the next couple of days. Low level clouds drifting along the wind flow, will cause a few scattered showers over the region during the forecast period.

A tropical wave will continue to cause cloudiness with showers and isolated thunderstorms over Trinidad and Tobago and areas further south during the next 24 hours.

Two other tropical waves located over the eastern and far eastern Tropical Atlantic are moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h.

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected over the tropical Atlantic during the next 5 days.

The alert level at the La Soufriere volcano in Saint Vincent remains at Orange. Interests in Saint Lucia and the south-eastern Caribbean region are advised to continue monitoring official sources for updates.
