Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms over the southern portion of the Lesser Antilles. Elsewhere, fair to partly cloudy and hazy with a few scattered showers.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
Moderate concentrations of Saharan dust will continue to cause a reduction to air quality and visibility across the Eastern Caribbean region during the forecast period.

Two tropical waves located over the central and far eastern Tropical Atlantic are moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h.

At 5:00 pm today, the centre of Hurricane Larry was located near latitude 17.4 degrees north, longitude 47.1 degrees west or about 970 miles or 1560 kilometres east of the Leeward Islands. Maximum sustained winds are near 125 mph or 205 km/h, with higher gusts. Larry is a category 3 hurricane on Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale. Larry is moving toward the west-northwest near 14 mph or
22 km/h. Although Hurricane Larry does not pose a direct threat to our region, swells generated by Larry are expected to reach the Lesser Antilles from Sunday.
