TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

An approaching tropical wave is expected to generate cloudiness, showers and isolated thunderstorms over the region during the forecast period.

Saharan dust haze will cause a reduction in visibility and air quality around the Eastern Caribbean during the forecast period.

A strong tropical wave located over the central Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h. Environmental conditions appear conducive for further development and a Tropical Depression is likely to form during the early to middle part of this week. This system is forecast to approach the Windward Islands on Tuesday and move over the south eastern Caribbean Sea on Wednesday and Thursday. Interest in the Windward Islands should monitor the progress of this system.

A third tropical wave located over the far eastern Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h.
