FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Fair to occasionally cloudy and hazy, with a few scattered showers over the Leeward to central Windward Islands. Over the southern Windwards and areas further south, partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Moisture and instability associated with the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone will cause cloudiness, showers and isolated thunderstorms over the southern portion of the Lesser Antilles during the next 24 hours.

Saharan dust haze will continue to cause a reduction in visibility and air quality across the Eastern Caribbean region during the next couple of days.

A tropical wave located over the western Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h. This wave is expected to affect our region from late Thursday into Friday.

Two other tropical waves located over the central and far eastern Tropical Atlantic are moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h and 12 mph or 19 km/h respectively.

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected over the Tropical Atlantic during the next five days.
