TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

The Atlantic High-Pressure System will generate light to moderate northeasterly to easterly winds, and a relatively stable atmosphere over the Eastern Caribbean region, during the next 24 hours.

A broad area of low pressure associated with a tropical wave, located over the central Tropical Atlantic, is moving westward near 5 to 10 mph or 7 to 17 km/h. This system has a high chance of tropical cyclone development during the next five days and is expected to be in the vicinity of the northern Leeward Islands during the weekend.

Another tropical wave also associated with a broad area of low pressure, is located just off the west coast of Africa. This westward moving system has a medium chance of tropical cyclone development during the next five days.
