The Atlantic High-Pressure System will generate light to moderate northeasterly winds and a relatively stable atmosphere over the Eastern Caribbean region, during the next 24 hours.
A broad area of low pressure associated with a tropical wave, located several hundred miles east of the Lesser Antilles, is moving westward near 6 mph or 9 km/h. This system has a high chance of tropical cyclone development during the next five days and is expected to be in the vicinity of the northern Leeward Islands during the weekend.
Another tropical wave, also associated with a broad area of low pressure, is located over the far eastern Tropical Atlantic and is moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h. This system has a medium chance of tropical cyclone development during the next five days.
