Further south, fair to partly cloudy with a few showers at first, becoming partly cloudy to cloudy at times with some scattered showers, which may be heavy in some locations, and isolated thunderstorms from tonight.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Adverse weather conditions generated by Tropical Storm Earl, will continue to affect the Leeward and northern Windward Islands during the next 24 hours. Moisture and instability trailing this system is expected to cause cloudiness, showers and isolated thunderstorms over the remainder of our region from tonight.

At 11:00 am today, the center of Tropical Storm Earl was located near latitude 19.0 degrees north, longitude 62.4 degrees west or about 70 miles or 115 kilometres northeast of the northern Leeward Islands. Earl is moving toward the west-northwest near 13 mph or 20 km/h. On the forecast track, the center of Earl is expected to pass just north of the northern Leeward Islands today, and north of the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico tonight and Sunday. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph or 65 km/h with higher gusts.

A tropical wave associated with an area of low pressure, is located over the central Tropical Atlantic. This system is moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h.

Another tropical wave that emerged off the west coast of Africa this morning is moving slowly westward.
