FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Cloudy at times with some scattered showers over the northern Windward and Leeward Islands. Further south, generally cloudy with scattered showers, which will be heavy in some locations, gusty winds and isolated thunderstorms.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Moist and unstable conditions in the wake of astrong tropical wave will continue to affect the Windward Islands and areas further south today. This system has a high chance of tropical cyclone formation and is likely to become a tropical depression within the next two days.  

Another tropical wave, associated with an area of low pressure located over the central tropical Atlantic is moving slowly westward. This system has a low chance of tropical cyclone formation during the next five days.

A third tropical wave located near the west coast of Africa is moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h. This wave has a medium chance of tropical cyclone formation during the next 48 hours.
