Seas: Moderate to locally rough with waves and swells 4 to 8 feet or 1.2 to 2.4      metres.

Small craft operators and sea bathers are advised to exercise caution due to above normal sea swells.

FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Generally cloudy skies, with scattered moderate to heavy showers, gusty winds and isolated thunderstorms over the Windward Islands. Partly cloudy skies, with a few showers elsewhere.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

An approaching tropical wave located east of the Windward Islands, has a medium chance of tropical cyclone formation during the next two days. This wave is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h and is expected to begin affecting our region tonight. An Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunter aircraft is currently enroute to investigate this system. The Saint Lucia Met. Services is closely monitoring the progress of this wave.

An area of low pressure associated with another tropical wave located over the central Tropical Atlantic, is moving westward near 10 mph or 17 km/h. This system has a high chance of tropical cyclone formation during the next 2 days.
