Over the Windward Islands and areas further south, generally cloudy to overcast with periods of rain, scattered moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms. Elsewhere, partly cloudy skies, becoming cloudy at times with scattered showers.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

An approaching tropical wave just east of the Lesser Antilles enhanced by favourable upper level conditions, is expected to cause an increase in cloudiness, periods of rain, moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms mainly over the southern half of the Lesser Antilles during the forecast period.

The ITCZ (Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone) will remain active over the southern portion of the region during the next 24 hours.
